LET'S START NOW

I trust your body has the innate ability to heal and I can support that process.

Within each person lies the potential to loosen the grip that our life experiences can have on us. The body often carries the burden of difficult life experiences long after they've passed, as a way of trying to protect us. These protective responses have cleverly found their way into creating patterns, symptoms, or a sense of disconnection from ourselves and our innate health and wholeness. These patterns may show up physically, emotionally, or in more subtle ways, and can leave us feeling not like ourselves or not feeling the way we want to feel. My guess is that.....Something inside you wants to feel something different.

I have had the opportunity and support to feel more like how I want to feel and experience the world. This personal journey deeply informs how I am able to support others in their process.

Because of this, my work has also had the time and opportunity to slowly marinate and develop over the last 25 years. I have been able to cultivate my skillset, learning and experience into a practice provides somatic therapies to heal complex stress physiology. I work first and foremost with the experience of the body in a way that can create change.  My practice is integrates a unique blend of my advanced skills in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, the Somatic Practice work of Kathy Kain as well as my extensive background in various manual therapies. The Realization Process, in which I trained as a teacher, supports my own inner grounding and helps me be with subtle energies in the body and the psycho-spiritual dimensions of experience. I have studied many other energetic and intuitive bodywork practices, and my love of learning keeps my curiosity alive about new developments in brain science and other ways of exploring body and its processes. I bring extensive experience in bodywork modalities and a deep-rooted foundation in anatomy and physiology which allows me to listen precisely to subtle shifts in your body and support the physiological changes that accompany healing.

My role is to gently and respectfully guide your exploration and to develop new skills to support your body's own capacity for change. In our work together, we begin to explore your experiences with care and presence to help build enough safety, capacity, and somatic skills to go slowly, gently, and with support into what can feel like murky waters to sense the way patterns and symptoms arise and how these protective responses live in your body now, and how they might begin to shift.
With deep listening, attuned skilled touch, and gentle inquiry, we collaborate with your body's inherent intelligence and you will begin to learn new skills to be able to renegotiate the way the body learned to develop this grip it has had on you somatically. This will provide the opportunity for us to untangle this grip and change the interrelationship to pain and conditions. This will create room to reorganize, rebuild and move closer to that something different you want for yourself.

Our work together invites transformation and healing.

Integrating this holistic whole body approach to healthcare creates new possibilities for healing and embodiment. The innate health is always the driving force of healing. You can start to recognize clear thinking, emotional expression and the ability to move the body in a new way.

My work fits collaboratively with psychotherapists, medical doctors and other healthcare professionals on treatment plans. While this work can be deeply therapeutic, I am not a psychotherapist, psychologist  or a medical doctor and I do not provide talk therapy or cognitive therapy of any kind.  My work does not take the place of these professions. I work with the experience of the body.
